Artemis Temple-Also known as Temple of Diana, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, was dedicated to the Goddess Artemis.
Celsius Library-An ancient Roman building, built in honor of the Roman senator Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaenus. In 262. A.D. during the Gots invasion, the library was set on fire, but the facade was rescued.
Temple of Hadrian-Dedicated to the Emperor Hadrian. In front of the temple, plints bear the name of four Emperors: Diocletian, Maximian, Constantine the Chlore and Galerius (295-305).
The Fountain of Trayan (The Nympheum)-Situated on the right side of Curetes Street. To get clearer idea of the original, a smaller model of the Nympheum has been rebuilt which, according to the inscription of the architrave, certifies that it was dedicated to the Emperor Trajan (97-117 A.D.)
Theater-With its seating capacity of nearly 24 000, it is the largest theater of Asia Minor. As the harbour was the entrance of the city, the first construction seen by travellers coming from the sea was theater.
Virgin Mary’s House-Located on a road which lied from Magnesium Gate of Ephesus to the Bulbul mountain. St.John was one of the leading founders of Christianity. During that years Christianity was forbidden. St.John brought Virgin Mary to Ephesus, which was one of the most important cities of that time. St.John hid Virgin Mary in a house, which he built amoung dense forests on the skirts on Bulbul mountain. It is believed that Virgin Mary stayed at the house on the Bulbul mountain and died there.
